José I. Concepción is from Miami, is fluent in Spanish, and has served as both an Assistant Public Defender and Assistant State Attorney. He has handled virtually all types of criminal cases including misdemeanors, felonies, and juvenile delinquency, and has taken nearly one hundred cases to trial in the past five years. Mr. Concepción also has appellate experience on both sides of the system, having written appellate briefs and writ petitions. He is an honors graduate of the University of Miami and graduated in 1999 from Nova Southeastern University, where he was a Goodwin Fellows Scholar. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District. He has written criminal law articles for the Florida Bar and Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Journals. |
